40 protestors, 5 supporters greet Rumsfeld in Chicago
http://www.nbc5.com/politics/3625393/detail.html?z=dp&dpswid=2265994&dppid=65192

CHICAGO -- About 40 anti-war protesters gathered outside a Gold Coast hotel Friday afternoon to call U.S. Defense Sec. Donald H. Rumsfeld a "war criminal," while a group of five supporters lauded the secretary.

Rumsfeld was inside the hotel giving a speech.

Activist Andy Thayer, one of the organizers, said, "People are very angry, and not just at the 900-plus American deaths caused by Rumsfeld, but by the 60,000 Iraqi civilian casualties caused by the U.S. invasion and occupation."

The demonstrators gathered at the corner of Delaware Place and Michigan Avenue, near the Four Seasons Hotel at 120 E. Delaware Place.

Or was that Jim Bowie? I should know, I lived in San Antonio for a long time - hell, it was one or the other.

Rummy, draws five people - way to go, fool.

10. He was at the Bohemian Grove coven
here in Northern Cal, Monte Rio. That's were old fat Republican pigs get to drink and frolic in nature. I can just see them patting him on his bare freckled back and saying, "There, there now Rummy, how were you to know those GIs were going to use digital cameras?"

Sorry, had to say it, I was in a Paddy Wagon and jail(my stay was 56 hrs) with him after the 800 or so Chicagoans were arrested by Chicago Police during the big anti-war march when we started bombing Iraq on March 20, 2003. He is a great guy.

6. My Daughter's Boyfriend's Father Was At A Recent * Rally...
He was one of those lucky ticket holders (nope, didn't have to fill out the loyalty oath...guess that wasn't required, yet).

He mentioned Bushbots were planted within the audience...about 2,500 at a "economic conference/photo op"...both with signs (he mentioned they were consentrated in certain sections that we surmised were within the site-lines of the C-SPAN cameras. Several times the group attempt chants of "Four More Years"...which never "quite got going".

He said the crowd seemed somber...like you were attending a lecture rather than a rally.

He's truely a boy in a bubble.

8. That's how the Nazis managed their rallies at Nuremberg, too.
These people are pure scum of the earth. They have absolutely no respect for anything approaching honesty and integrity. It's all about power and greed: Might Makes Right.

9. It's Getting Worse As He Fades In Popularity...
It used to be that this regime "kept a lid on leaks" and the impression was it's was a well-oiled machine. We know a lot different.

Rove is doing all he can to manufacture news...control the debate and avoid making mistakes. It worked like a charm in 2000...he was able to paint Gore as a liar and kept him on the defensive. Bunnypants had no record thus anything he said wasn't verified or assumed on face value. A lot of people bought Bunnypants simply out of what was then called "Clinton Fatigue". Rove played it to divide the nation and push up his boy's vote enough for it got get stolen in Florida. That was then, this is now.

If you thought the DNC was slick and scripted, the RNC is gonna be like watching an Orwellian Spectacular. No plank (it's been announced the delegates won't see it until Monday and have to approve it that night)...and you'll see tons of moderate faces that belie whose really in charge here. The media will chirp their praises as their bills are being paid for by tons of RNC cash.

What we've seen is the absolute corruption of not just the executive and legislative, but also of the fourth estate...and that's an incredible danger.

Cheers!

12. Love to see less than 1 in 8 turn out to vote for the cretin.
But one in eight will be fine.
