Reservist Says Intelligence Led Iraq Abuse
What is going on?

Rumsfeld's Pentagon says it was a "few bad apples." The military who testify say it was the Military Police. A reservist who was there says it was Military Intelligence (MI). Why would the military testify it was MPs when they know it was MI? Who told them to lie? How come we aren't allowed to know the identities of the 'John Does' who served as MI in Abu Ghraib and elsewhere?

What kind of people do we have working for us? What kind of horrors are they committing in our name?

(AP) - An Army reservist who saw naked detainees being humiliated at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq says military intelligence officials led and directed the abuse. The account by Kenneth A. Davis, a former sergeant in the Maryland-based 372nd Military Police Company, conflicts with testimony soldiers gave this week at the pretrial hearing of Pfc. Lynndie England, one of seven members of the 372nd charged with abusing detainees

1. As more trials come forth....
more scum will emerge about the system wide policy of "abuse" and torture. Gen. Miller and Gen. Sanchez and other high ranking officers should be forced to testify!

2. Of course it was Intel that led this.
This whole "few bad apples" story stunk from the very beginning. Sure, these soldiers should have know better but they acted like they were very comfortable with what they were doing. Meaning, they didn't act like they were getting away with something, someone created the environment that it was OK.

3. Right from the beginning....
These were the questions that weren't being addressed. Titan and CACI are guilty as h*ll, and operating as a private army under the SOD. They are completely unaccountable and NO ONE is is hollering!

5. Naw, once they nail the pregnant woman
There will be a little break. They'll test public opinion with a couple of "Well, that takes care of that" comments, and if there aren't people marching in the streets, the remainder of the mess will be quietly swept under the rug. Maybe some officer will miss his next scheduled promotion, but it won't be much more than that.

Then, when the next round of terrorism is inflicted on the U.S., we'll hear the wailing about "they hate us for our freedom!" No, they hate us because we tortured them, wounded them, and killed them, and didn't give a flying rat's ass, as evidenced by the lack of punishment for the perpetrators.

6. Unfortunately
There are now SO MANY legitimate reasons for people to be marching in the street that we could march from now til doomsday and not have properly represented..
