If prostitution is illegal, how come acting in a porn movie isn't?

I mean it is being paid to have sex, isn't it? Does that mean if you take a camera to a hooker but get caught by the police, you can just say you were making a porn film and they have to release you?

The judges all parse the law in a hundred different ways. Generally speaking, simulated coitus without intromission is "OK". So is sadomasochism, bondage, and discipline without bodily injury -- no welting, no bruising, no bleeding, no problem.

This case is just another example of how, for all our pretensions of "family values" and protecting the flower of American maidenhood, we actually prefer to degrade women and destroy children.

In CA, there was a court decision that made it a free speech issue.

This is why the majority of all hardcore is filmed in CA.
