Prozac 'found in drinking water'
Prozac 'found in drinking water'

Many people choose Prozac over other antidepressants
Traces of the antidepressant Prozac can be found in the nation's drinking water, it has been revealed.
An Environment Agency report suggests so many people are taking the drug nowadays it is building up in rivers and groundwater.

A report in Sunday's Observer says the government's environment watchdog has discussed the impact for human health.

A spokesman for the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) said the Prozac found was most likely highly diluted.

3. Yummy...lets get a buzz on...
From 'Water Conditioning and Purification Magazine':

http://www.wcp.net/column.cfm?T=T&ID=2199

“A variety of pharmaceuticals including painkillers, tranquilizers, anti-depressants, antibiotics, birth control pills, estrogen replacement therapies, chemotherapy agents, anti-seizure medications, etc., are finding their way into the environment via human and animal excreta from disposal into the sewage system—i.e., flushing unused medication down the toilet…”

This has been reported in various sources. If there is a contemporary equivalent to the Roman Empire's self-poisoning through lead, this is it. What a friggin mess!

I would more readily believe that they're adding the shit to city water and that certain water bottle companies are too. It certainly would fit in with Bush's sudden attack of compassion jwhen he approved government assistance for anti-depressants. He doesn't do anything that doesn't fit into his devious plans.
