Crowd drawn to Heinz Kerry
Arizona Daily Sun

Theresa Heinz Kerry has been constantly on the front lines of her husband's campaign, and she took a central role in his visit to Flagstaff. The crowd that came to see Kerry was overwhelmingly supportive of his outspoken wife. She was greeted by earsplitting cheers when she stepped onto the stage.

"I'm here as much to hear her as her husband!" said Caere Dunn, 53, a hypnotherapist from Prescott.

Her fans cited her intelligence, strength, generosity and international life as reasons she would be a good first lady.

Trudy Ehrhart, 41, a grant writer from Phoenix, was feeding a Rice Krispie treat to a white cockatiel on her shoulder as she waited for the rally to begin. "She says what's on her mind, she's honest, she's articulate, she's forthright. She's a good example of how women should be," she said. She said Heinz Kerry's multicultural background would help bring the world together.

5. I saw her in Las Vegas NM
She was great. She addressed the sudience in both Spanish and English and this is very important in northern New Mexico where many people who have lived here for many generations speak Spanish as first language choice. There was a woman in the audience who spoke Portuguese and she and Theresa had a short conversation while Theresa was speaking.

Elizabeth Edwards was great also. While Kerry was speaking of hunting down the terrorists, some women standing near me shouted "They're in the White House." Elizabeth looked over at them, smiled and winked.
