At the hearing, Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan, the ranking Democrat on the panel, criticized Exxon Mobil for failing to cooperate fully cooperate with the investigation.
As of the hearing last month, Exxon Mobil had not provided the panel with any information about financial support for any students. Staff investigators found Riggs documents that suggested the company, along with Marathon, had provided support for 28 to 35 students in 2003.
