Boxer, Jones spar over war, foreign policy, other issues (Senate race)
But issues related to Iraq and the war on terror provoked the most heated exchanges, with Jones at one point accusing Boxer of voting to cut $400 million in intelligence funding as chairwoman of a subcommittee she angrily said doesn't exist.

"My opponent has made up a lot of things that I've heard in the last three months, I'm glad you're here today Bill," Boxer said. "There is no subcommittee on intelligence. And I've never in my life voted against an intelligence budget."

The two also sparred over Boxer's vote against the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, with Jones accusing Boxer of "repeatedly" not supporting the military. But asked whether he would have voted to launch the war with Iraq given what is known today, Jones didn't answer directly.

"This is not the time to address this question. It's time to be supportive," he said.

The latest polls have Boxer leading 50% to 33%, her lead will probably increase after she kicked this idiot around in the debate. His one talking point is that Arnold has endorsed him. No matter what extreme position ignorance or hypocrisy he gets called on, he just goes back to talking about his love affair with Schwarzenegger.

Did anyone see or hear the whole debate?

5. I saw part of it
Boxer was her usual unflappable self. She is just too good.

She kicked his ass when she calmly told him that subcommittee didn't exist. The debate was "won" at that point. Game over. As if it wasn't already.

She went after Bill for his Cheney fundraising. Bill basically did the whole "McCain-Arnold-Moderate" mantra.

7. this should not have been allowed to be dropped
"This is not the time to address this question. It's time to be supportive," he said. "

No, this IS the time to answer the damn question. Jones is standing there, buffetted by a bunch of lies the arrogant voices in his head are telling him that he would never be called on. No, he's making this a divisive issue, and when his lie was outted and it was put to him what he would have done, like the coward he is, he creeps away all hunchbacked and sheepish, not even man enough to stand in his truth and declare it.

This should not have been allowed to be dropped--either by the commentator or the press attending this. There should have been an outcry for him to answer the damn question.
