BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr is unhurt and is negotiating with the government to leave the Imam Ali shrine in the city of Najaf, Iraq's Interior Minister Falah al-Naqib said on Friday.
Several spokesmen to Sadr said he was wounded in a U.S. raid on Friday.

"Sayyed Moqtada will not be touched if he leaves the shrine peacefully. A truce has been in force since last night," Naqib told Reuters.

Anyone know who the heck is telling the truth? Iraqi Gov't? Sayed Hazim al-Arajy?

ah well.

1. Hmmm...

regardless of who is telling the truth, it is interesting to see that Iraq's Interior Minister is in contact with him and is negotiating his getaway.

I thought the new handpicked government would be working in our interests. Maybe not...

3. bush needs some elction time demons
they really would rather capture this guy alive, he makes a good demon, the typcial evil terrorist type. Yes it''s wrong but remember how the bush team works, they don't use reality but can change the meaning of an antire speech becasue of the mutlitble meanins of a single word in the explanation. Remember the "inventing the internet" and "sensitive war" , all simple distortions and using Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr as an eveil terroists plays well for the bush team during this time.

4. What's the real story on Sadr?
ABC radio this morning at 6:00 reported that Sadr is seriously injured from shrapnel wounds. Is your news more current, Jadedshrub?
If so, looks like it's another case where our beloved "liberal" media are serving as propagandists for the Bush war cause. Get it out first and worry about getting it right later.

5. It makes perfect sense...
...for the bush administration to send a message to the Iraqi puppets to calm things down. If this goes totally out of control (which it is about to do) bush is sunk and they know it. At this point I'm sure the message to Allawi is do whatever the fuck you have to do to stop the chaos. Of course it always helps to fog things up so bad the American public doesn't whats true and whats not...this is a favorite tactic of the nazis.

This nightmare gets darker with every passing day.
