Zarqawi group beheads Egyptian hostage in Iraq: Islamist website
DUBAI (AFP) - An Islamist website broadcast a video which it said showed an Egyptian hostage in Iraq being beheaded by the terror group of alleged Al-Qaeda operative Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi.

The apparent victim, who gave his name as Mohammed Fawzi Abd Aal Metwalli, is seen encircled by three hooded gunmen and confesses in the videotape to having worked as a spy for US forces in Iraq.

After the young man's statement, one of the men steps forward and cut his neck with a long knife. The detached head is then placed on the victim's back.

"I am a citizen of the Arab republic of Egypt. I worked as a spy for the Americans in Iraq," said the man, who wore a flowery shirt, in the taped confession.

"The Americans gave me bugging devices which I attached to Iraqi citizens and mujahedeen (Islamic fighters). Planes would then come to bomb the place. They gave me 45 devices, and 150 dollars for each one used," he said.
