Nader Has Enough Signatures To Be On Arkansas Ballot
ABC News

Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader has gathered enough certified signatures to earn a spot on the November ballot in Arkansas. In Arkansas third-party presidential candidates need one thousand signatures of registered Arkansas voters to be on the general election ballot. Nader supporters turned in one thousand, 234 signatures. Arkansas requires presidential candidates to have a party affiliation, so Nader's supporters in the state called their party "The Better Life." Nader earned one percent of the Arkansas vote in 2000.

1. Nader - The Leon Trotsky of American National Politics
At this point he is just running on ego. What ever good he did was ages ago.
Nader = nadir. A currious example of how far a has been can sink into poiitical myopia and meglomania. A political pariah.

14. Leon Trotksy - Nader parrallel
Edited on Sat Aug-14-04 09:37 AM by amber dog democrat
At one time he was the 3rd most powerful figure in the Soviet leadership.
Under his milittary leadership during the civil war, the Red Army was overwhelmingy successful in its war with reactionary and rebellious forces -
Regarded as a brilliant tactician and strategist he fell pray to meglomania and short sided political infighting, weakening the chance that the leadership could carry out Lenin's vision of a more balanced and fair society - while Stalin moved into the central leadership role.

Trotsky's lack of empahty with the working peasents, his lack of support the the NEP
( New Economic Program) that fostered a grass roots economy based on land reform and a private ownership incentive for marketing agricultural products - among other things undermined much of his credibility and support. Under the NEP agricultural surplusses were starting to happen.

Like Nader, he had prominence, a legendary past and an ego diverting him from meaningful political activity to partisan infighting that left the Soviet leadership defenseless against Stalin. In Nader's case, his shallow self seeking intention to
syphon votes away from Kerry only seems to stregnthen Bushe's support.

Its a cant see the forrest for the trees kind of thing. But while Nader believes he has alruistic motives toward reforming the political process, Trotksy was more of an elitest who was more focused on abstract matters and very willing to use the Army
to supress sparks of dissent. Not a friend of the common man

In both cases, the served the very things that were destructive to the causes they believed in. - largely due to a blindness brought on by ego and meglomania.

In Nader's case he is lucky he does not have an angry Stalin plotting revenge.
They both seemed to be out for themselves in the end.
IMHO.

4. Nader reminds me of my neighbor's old dog....
nasty, sinile, blind. Looked pittyful. The Vet kept pleading to please put the dog to sleep as he was getting dangerous. Sure enough. The dog bit their daughter in the face taking half her lip off. Away to la-la land they sent the dog the next day. Nader is a dangerous character, hope some one sends him to la-la land soon.

6. This Is Really Bad News for Kerry
Bush only has a 2 point lead in Ark. With Nader pulling in about 1%. Nader's presence on that ballot means that Bush will win this state.

Damn you Ralph! Damn you to hell!

11. Well, impossible to stop him...
Personally, I like Lyndon LaRouche. Either he or Nader would make fine Presidents. Why do these people come out and run when they cannot make a difference in a positive way?

Granted that Ross Perot was an egomaniac, and many republicans think he cost them the elections against Clinton (he may have, let's be honest), but, at least he made a contribution to the debate level in bringing up topics.

But, Nader is just like a fly buzzing around, not really a viable candidate at all, just acting like a spoiled little kid having a temper tantrum.

Now, Lyndon LaRouche... he's my man! I heard his radio ads in New York a few months ago. I've never done Heroin, but, listening to his ads made me think I must have. Now that boy is totally certifiable.

Nader / LaRouche ticket in 2008 all the way!!!
