Bush Seattle fundraiser takes in over $2.4 million
BY KING and AP Staff

President Bush traveled to Washington state Friday evening for a Seattle- area fund- raiser that Republican leaders expected would raise at least $2.4 million for efforts to get voters to back party candidates on Election Day. Approximately 100 anti-Bush demonstrators gathered at Medina Park in the posh suburb of Medina to protest the president's visit. About a dozen Bush supporters showed up as well.

Police in this community, home of former Simpson Timber Chairman Gary Reed, who was hosting the fund- raiser, had braced for anywhere from 200 to 1,000 demonstrators.

At about 6 p.m., some 60 demonstrators left the park to march closer to the Reed home. They were blocked by police on bicycles as they drew within a few blocks of the estate. ..

That's not even enough for his stepford wife to get programmed to be an expert on abortion this week.

2. Bush Is A Coward

Bush Is A Coward........

Bush unlike Clinton does not have the integrity to face those who oppose him. Bush in typical fashion as in his last campaign visit last Aug had his motorcade take the backroads into the Reed Estate to avoid the protesters.

Bu__sh_t is just a plain poor excuse for a prez

5. Traffic has been an ungodly mess all day
Police officers from numerous jurisdictions were ordered to a local city to protect * and his handlers this evening at a hotel. He's also appearing at a picnic of some type tomorrow.

I am furious at the expense of time lost and manpower hours usurped; these cities will have to pay this tab by themselves, and * and his little friends refused one thin dime to help.

November 2nd can't get here soon enough for me.

8. Speaking of having Bush in my state this weekend..
.. do you think Lynrd Skynrd will be peforming, ".. that smell" for the GOP convention?? Cuz I'm smelling something rotten in Washington state this morning. The amount of military jets from Whidbey down to Tacoma all day yesterday was unbelievable.. How much are WE paying for HIM to raise 2.4 mill????

9. You know, I didn't think he'd go to an actual picnic..
.. there mightbe protesters nearby. I really doubt that there were only 100 protesters yesterday. I read of plans for kayak protests, banner protests, etc. I think they're misunderestimating the numbers again. Glad that dick is out of our state now... how much did his little fleecing cost us?
