Bush Sr. Throws First Olympic Pitch

ATHENS (Reuters) - Former President Bush, father of the White House incumbent, tossed out the first pitch to open the Olympic softball competition in Athens on Saturday.

Bush senior, who played baseball at Yale, is in Greece at the head of a presidential party. He was cheered by the crowd, though few came to watch a sport little followed in Europe.

12. I guess you didn't have to be much of a baseball player to play for Yale

He doesn't seem to have a great deal of natural grace, though to be fair his age would play a role there too.

On edit - I have a friend who played second base in the Blue Jays farm system for a few years. When you play catch with a really gifted athlete you realize just how different they are from the average person, in their particular skill. The Bush's don't seem to have that, as far as I can see.
