Kerry's Blue Blood a Winner, Say Royal Researchers
LONDON (Reuters)

After months of research into Kerry's ancestry, Burke's Peerage, experts on British aristocracy, reported Monday that the Vietnam war veteran is related to all the royal houses of Europe and can claim kinship with Czar Ivan "The Terrible," a previous Emperor of Byzantium and the Shahs of Persia.

Burke's director Harold Brooks-Baker said Kerry had his mother, Rosemary Forbes, to thank for most of his royal connections.

"Every maternal blood line of Kerry makes him more royal than any previous American president," Brooks- Baker said.

"Because of the fact that every presidential candidate with the most royal genes and chromosomes has always won the November presidential election, the coming election -- based on 42 previous presidents -- will go to John Kerry."

Similar research carried out on Bush ahead of the 2000 presidential race showed that he beat Al Gore in the royal stakes, claiming kinship with Britain's Queen Elizabeth as well as with Kings Henry III and Charles II of England. ..

18. No royalty in Estonia, either
Just potato farmers and fishermen.....

By the way, I thought a big factor was whichever candidate was taller. If so, Kerry beats Dumbya easily!

3. These stories smack of attempts to portray Kerry as an elitist snob
to the average voter on Main Street USA. Maybe we need to start keeping track of how many times GOP talking points bring up elitist in connection to Kerry in the days right before and after this recurring 'news' story.

5. It smacks more of Burke's Peerage's desperate attempts to stay in business
since their publication is a snob directory of no use, and vanishingly small interest, to anyone. So they will put out any press release that can get their name out there.

6. Wait until October! I hope.
AP and Reuters are leaning bush, no doubt. A vast majority of thier releases are about bush and AFP has moved many staff to the US to cover Kerry and release "truth" about bush.
Remember AP forced bush's NG records and Reuters printed it and then they both backed off. IMO, they will shock bush in late October with revelations that will destroy bush in the media. I really think this will happen.

10. A little paradox...
Didn't Cleveland lose to Harrison in 1888, and then defeat Harrison in the following election in 1892? How did his geneology change in 4 years? If this genetic link thing was true for all previous elections, then this should be impossible. It sounds like someone might be a little full of shit. Interesting theory, though, but I'd rather have Kerry win on the issues then on his bloodline.

19. Clinton's genealogy
http://www.s-t.com/daily/10-96/10-28-96/a05wn028.htm

...President Clinton's royal roots, Mr. Brooks-Baker said, include several medieval monarchs and Simon de Montford, a statesman and soldier under King Henry III who lived from 1208 to 1265 and married the king's sister Eleanor. Through de Montford, President Clinton is related to every ancient aristocratic family in Britain today.

On his mother's side, President Clinton is also related to President Andrew Jackson and Davy Crockett, the frontier folk hero who died in 1836 defending the Alamo during the war for Texan independence....

11. "God save the queen / She ain't no human being"
So Kerry's related to the pukes who've looted and squatted upon history?

And this is...impressive to some of you?

Gah.

12. It's interesting
just as it's interesting that Chavez, a dark man with Indian and African blood, maintained power in Venezuela against his European descended opponents.

I thought Chavez deserved to win just as I think Kerry deserves to win.

14. Hey, I can trace my heritage to ancient Irish kings...
... though my family has fallen in its status since then. I don't FEEL royal.

Kerry is no doubt a blue-blood, but he's also a child of the 60's.
