Like the green dude near the end during Mars Attacks!, running around with "DO NOT RUN, WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS, WE COME IN PEACE" blasting out of a speaker as his ray-gun blasts everything else.

Time is on Sayyid Muqtada(HA)'s side, and it is obvious how desperate the enemy is that such aimless flailing about takes place.

4. They have been using artillery in the cemetary since Saturday or Sunday,

hard to be sure with some of this stuff, but since the "talks collapsed",
I dunno why bombing represents a change. It is slipping over into bathos,
to be sure.
