Kerry Campaign Explains Bob Kerrey Mixup
John Kerry, Bob Kerrey. It's easy to get confused.

At least that's how the Kerry campaign is explaining claims that Kerry — the Democratic presidential candidate — served as vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Oops. Make that Bob Kerrey — the former Democratic senator from Nebraska who did serve as the panel's vice chairman.

"John Kerry, Bob Kerrey — similar names," said Kerry campaign spokesman Michael Meehan, adding that any reference to Kerry as vice chairman was an error.

Republicans were less willing to see the misstatement as an innocent mistake.

A stupid mistake by the Kerry campaign.

Look at how the article writer slams Kerry too "At least that's how the Kerry campaign is explaining claims..." When will you see an AP writer saying about Bush, "at least that's what he claims" - they report everything he says as fact straight from god.

Media bias and stupidity from the Kerry campaign. Two things we don't need.

1. Yep, this is the next big 'Kerry lie'.
I heard about 2 minutes of Rush today and he was already ranting about it. Naturally, he didn't blame the person who created the material. He blamed the man at the top.

Funny how it's Kerry's fault when someone on his campaign staff prints and immediately retracts an error, but when the Bush takes us to war based on bad intelligence, it has nothing to do with Bush.

2. No big deal
Bush quite often claims the American people elected him, sent him to the White House ... inaccurate stuff like that is no big deal it seems. :donut:

We need a pretzel emoticon.
