DNC to run ad assailing Bush on health

WASHINGTON (AP)

The Democratic Party accuses President Bush in a new television ad of having "no plan" to deal with the rising cost of health care.

"I've never heard President Bush even talk about it," a woman says in the 30-second commercial set to begin running Wednesday in local markets in 20 battleground states and nationally on cable networks.

"It's like he doesn't know it's a problem," a man adds. ..

The ad claims health insurance premiums are "skyrocketing four times faster than wages," says employers are dropping health benefits and that 43 million people don't have health insurance. It says Kerry would give tax breaks to small businesses so they can provide health insurance as well as "reimburse employers for catastrophic costs." ..
