Supporters at Hedgesville rally cite Bush's religious values
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. (AP)

Forget the war, forget the economy. For many George Bush supporters, the presidency is about something more fundamental -- faith.

It's about their faith in him, and his faith in God.

Cindy Wilson, of Keyser, takes comfort in the knowledge that Bush is a Christian, she says, because if he is uncertain of a decision, God will make it for him. ..

Use your Head

3. Ahem
If Kerry becomes president I expect that these fundamentalist Christians will also show him their unqualified, unwavering support. That they will pray for him daily, support all of his policies and equate his leadership with the will of God Himself. I will be watching and will expect nothing less.

14. Yeah, when our side is back in power, I may take up the ugly habit ...
... of reciting all the barf I've heard for decades from Republicans whenever I criticized a Republican president:

"He's our president and we all ought to support him."

"If you don't like America, why don't you leave?"

etc etc etc

4. Thank God all Christians aren't like this one!
I am a Christian...a Catholic Christian. My cousin is an reborn Christian minister and owns a Christian psychology practice. Forget what I think about this foolish belief that God guides the shrub, my cousin says he is firmly convinced the shrub is mentaly ill. Shrub talks a good talk, but his actions portrey the exact opposite. I'm sorry some people are clearly unwilling to listen and think at the same time.

6. Similar shit in my home town
Every damn day there is a letter to the editor thanking god for sending the US a god fearing president in Bush* who is doing the lord's work.

I guess the lord's work according to these people is raping the poor.

9. I am constantly amazed by this particular kind of fanatical
bullshit. Has there ever been anything but a Christian in the White House in the last century? Thank God we got rid of that Buddhist sumbitch? Christian my ass.

What the hell are these people talking about? They don't mean Christian - they mean brain dead fundamentalist.

15. Turn to page 237 and read with me.
Judge not a man by his words, But judge a man by his works. Satan will win your soul with his deceptive words, but ye will know him by his evil works. Remember; blessed are the poor and all the disenfranchised people the Democrats are trying to feed and heal. For this weeks study time, I want you to study the writing and teaching of John Kerry. His words and works will inspire you to do what is good and compassionate for all the people on God's earth.
