Democrats Rally Around Obama at State Fair

They treated Republican Alan Keyes as an outsider brought in from Maryland who was certain to lose to Obama.

U.S. Senator Dick Durbin said Republicans are serving Maryland crab cakes instead of Illinois State Fair pork.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich accused Republicans of saying no to importing cheaper medicine from overseas but yes to importing candidates from out of state.

Obama said little about his opponent but predicted Illinois voters will be turned off by criticisms from Keyes. ..
