An Evansville man attempted to stab a sheriff's deputy with a methamphetamine-filled syringe Tuesday to goad the officer into shooting him, according to the affidavit filed in Natrona County Circuit Court.
Jesse Edwards was charged Wednesday with two felonies -- attempted aggravated assault, and attempted assault on a peace officer -- and misdemeanor counts of possession and use of a controlled substance, Assistant District Attorney Mike Schafer told Circuit Court Judge Michael Huber.
