War of words heats up as Iran warns of preemptive strike on US forces
TEHRAN (AFP) - In a marked escalation of a war of words between Iran and its arch-enemies Israel and the US, Tehran has for the first time threatened a preemptive strike against US troops in the region.

The world is so much safer w/ Chimpy in charge. Gotta love the doctrine of preemption! Monkey see monkey do.

Our forces "over there" are split.. with that HUGE Iran right in the middle...mountains..desert..and our guys are POOPED..

What if Iran DID decide to join their Shi'ite "brothers" and take us on in BOTH places at once??

We are stretched so thin..

Talk about UGLY..

and of course it would succeed in probably keeping * in the WH :(

3. If Iran launched an unannounced, full-scale attack on our strung out force
s in Iraq, the results could be devastating for both sides.

7. Probably because they think they could "win"
A win for them would be the humiliation of US...no matter how many of them die..

The middle east thinks in terms of Hundreds and thousands of years.. We tink in terms of months..

They are patient, and they have bigger numbers than we do.. We are already perceived as invaders.. There are muslims all over the world, and we are not in any position to keep their supporters from flocking to their country to "help" them..

Bush opened Pandora's Box, and we cannot stuff the evil back in it..

Middle east diplomacy is like a ballet.. and unfortunately, we have a clog-dancer in DC.:(

6. If it's good enough for America...
Iran decides to use the bush Doctrine. Like Japan preemptively used the bush Doctrine on Pearl Harbor.

Why not? If the bush Doctrine is good enough for America, it's good enough for the rest of the world.

Which is EXACTLY what the world's experts warned bush about. But bush, being a totally stupid arrogant ignorant asshole, ignored them all and is being proved, as always, dead wrong.

Only it's other people who will, as always, be doing the dead part.

8. The results would be catastrophic for the US.
No puppet would last a day supporting a pan-Islamic US occupation. US forces would be forced out--for good.
