Gov. Kulongoski asks for Oregon to have access to Canada drugs
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)

Governor Ted Kulongoski is asking the federal government to give Oregonians access to affordable prescription drugs from Canada. ..

He says Oregon already has the tools in place to import prescription drugs from Canada that meet quality standards and are less expansive.

The governor also unveiled the Pioneer Prescription Drug Project to give Oregonians access to Canadian drugs through local pharmacies.

Under the plan, Oregon pharmacists would only be allowed to import products approved by the Board of Pharmacy and supplied by approved wholesalers.

1. That's positive, but it's the same old "I'm a follower not a leader" ...

type of move by Ted. Why didn't this happen months ago? Because Ted has to wait and see if others will take action first, which is so bloody anti-Oregonian that it hurts. And wasn't his administration involved in shutting down a pharmacy or two that was doing just this? Oh, he's bloody exasperating. I hope we can get DeFazio to run for gov one day.
