Piscopo entertaining a run for gov

Joe Piscopo gave the Garden State a new slogan with his "You from Jersey?" routine on "Saturday Night Live."
But would voters elect him as a replacement for Jim McGreevey?

The comic confirms that "some prominent business guys" are trying to persuade him to run for the disgraced governor's seat.

Piscopo won't say who they are, but tells us, "They've suggested I run as an independent. They have the financing, but they've assured me I wouldn't be beholden to them."

Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Piscopo (who's almost as brawny and speaks better English) has dipped his toes into politics by supporting privately financed recreational programs for "at-risk" minority children.

4. Besides being a snooze...
I think it was his unflattering impressions of "The Chairman of the Board" that sunk his career....I am surprised Piscopo still has kneecaps.

5. What is it with sterrhoids, acting and wanting to be a governor?
Someone should do a study.

8. Is The Our Future?
a country where governors, senators, congressmen/women are all former entertainers. See, as an entertainer, you dont' have to start as a measly mayor, or city council rep...NO, just step on over the heap of smaller titles and go for the big ones

In the case of my home state - Billionaire Brew Man - Pete Coors - who hasn't had a Coors?

9. OK, stop the planet I want off!
Next thing you know, John Goodman will run for mayor of New Orleans... he says he loves it here and married someone from Metairie (mostly white suburb). Hell! I meet famous people all the time in the French Quarter that say they love it here and some even bought houses. The good thing is, assholes like Dennis Miller are generally unwelcome here. I watched Paul Reiser get booed off a stage... but that's because he has little talent as a comedian.

Give us Whoopie!... 'cause that's what we do down here!

11. I thought of Joe Pesci for a second, and was intrigued.

Not because the guy's qualified, AFAIK, but just because he'd be interesting as "My Candidate Vinny".
