Bush's Brain Opens Nationally, Filmmakers Available in NYC 8/24-25
Common Dreams NewsWire

WASHINGTON - August 18 - BUSH’S BRAIN, the acclaimed feature film documentary that introduces the country to Karl Rove, the man known as “Bush’s Brain”, the most powerful political figure America has never heard of, will open in 12 major cities beginning on August 20th in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, Texas.

The film, detailing the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain of today’s Presidential politics, will subsequently open in Austin, New York City, Washington, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Chicago and Milwaukee. Release dates in more cities are expected as well. The full release schedule is below. The film, directed and produced by Joseph Mealey and Michael Paradies Shoob, is based on the best-selling book BUSH’S BRAIN (Wiley, 2003) by journalists James Moore and Wayne Slater.

Karl Rove is President George W. Bush’s closest adviser. He is a brilliant tactician and a ruthless political opponent who has almost single-handedly shaped the policies of our nation. The relationship between Karl Rove and President George W. Bush is one of the most unique political marriages in history. Feared and admired by Republicans and Democrats alike, Rove has raised a new and disturbing question for Americans: ‘Who really runs the country?’ ..

1. Sick & depressing facts about Karl Rove's so-called life:
Edited on Thu Aug-19-04 07:40 PM by Snellius
When he was 20 he found out that the man he called Dad, who had just walked out on his mother, was not his real father but his stepfather. After the divorce, his mother moved to Reno and, some years later, she took her own life.

Rove did not marry until he was 36. Three years later, his wife angrily walked out on him, screaming at their divorce proceedings: "I don't love you. I've never loved you. And I'm leaving."

Fun guy.

10. don't waste any sympathy on him
lots of us had dreadful childhoods and lots of trauma; we just don't all take it out on the entire country.

5. Yes, the book is fascinating
2 Texas reporters who have been following Turd Blossom for years in Austin. Rove's life comes off as a scary B movie: The Revenge of the Prissy Nerd from Hell. The episodes about his merciless and spiteful attacks of retribution are truly frightening.

11. If he's sick, let's help him. But first, let's get him off the throne...
From my favorite anti-Nixon poster of the 70's.

6. 'Brilliant'? BAH! He's the epitome of a cynical political 'ho',...
,...who happenstanced upon the right place/people/time.

He may be brilliantly manipulative and deceptive and lucky; but, he attributes no brilliance onto the human race's evolution.

8. Its too bad he doesn't do policy, just a bag of dirty tricks.
Today I was thinking that he has all kinds of stuff to pull on America this election season. His "swift boat veterans" probably even amazed him. This little stunt slowed Kerry and gave about 2 weeks to Bush*.

Right now Rove is probably using his third degree stuff. Second degree stuff might come during the convention when he orchestrates some real bad actions, that will be blamed on the protesters.

I think that since they lack any kind of program initiatives, we can expect some real October surprises. Will the American public see through this fraud? Time will tell.
