Bear drinks 36 beers and passes out in Washington state (rejects Busch)
BAKER LAKE, Washington (Japan Today)

When state Fish and Wildlife agents recently found a black bear passed out on the lawn of Baker Lake Resort, there were some clues scattered nearby — dozens of empty cans of Rainier Beer.

The bear apparently got into campers' coolers and used his claws and teeth to puncture the cans. And not just any cans.

"He drank the Rainier and wouldn't drink the Busch beer," said Lisa Broxson, bookkeeper at the campground and cabins resort east of Mount Baker.

Fish and Wildlife enforcement Sgt Bill Heinck said the bear did try one can of Busch, but ignored the rest.

"He didn't like that (Busch) and consumed, as near as we can tell, about 36 cans of Rainier." ..

2. oh, sheesh . . .
the bear facts -- a bear cannot bear to drink Busch beer. No flaming Busch will Rainer on his parade!!

Is there a lesson here?

6. this has been making the rounds the last day or 2
our local news has had it on today, yesterday. But tonite they had a bit of video on the 11pm news too. Everyone laughing about it, and one talking head says, "Not a great advertisement for Busch" and it sounds just like *moron, ya know...the laughing starts to die out...and the weather guy says "there is just sooo much that can be said concerning that"....a few seconds more of low chuckling and he launches into the weather forecast.

i think they got the point across in a subtle enough way.

9. Sounds like Rainier Marketing s/b investigated for animal cruelty
And how come it's legal for Rainier, Busch, Budweiser, Coors, etc. to advertise on TV?

Why not Johnny Walker or 'Baseball' brand heroin?

10. I met a bear about 25 years ago. This is a true story, I promise
in a bar in Muskogee, OK (yep, where they don't smoke marijuana, HAAHAAA
Thanks, Merle)...in when?...about 1974 I think. I shit you not, walked into Louis's bar (~3800 W. Okmulgee Ave) and saw this black bear sitting next to the pool table. I really didn't freak out, I'm pretty much a guy who connects with animals of most all kinds - I walked over to the bear and petted it. (Another story concerning Rhodesian Ridgeback doggies in a Biker Bar in Tampa will have to wait :D)

And the bear sucked on my thumb. Probably looking for some milk which wasn't forthcoming, obviously. The guy who "owned" him wasn't amused,
but I was.

By the way, I "rescued" a skunk from a different cowpoke in the very same joint one night....took it home and gave it a good home for about a year. I loved it's pitter-patter with the front paws on the carpet begging for a hunk of hot-dog. But alas, it got out and ran away.....
