Monday: Teresa..Meets with Women Labor Leaders ..at AFLCIO
US Newswire

Opening a week of campaigning advancing Women's Equality Day, Teresa Heinz Kerry will speak Monday (Aug. 23) to the AFL-CIO Coalition of Labor Union Women who are meeting here in a conference at the Columbus Convention Center.

The focus will be women and the economy, and the economic pressures women face, for example, from rising health care and prescription drug costs, balancing work and family, and pay inequity. These are issues Mrs. Heinz Kerry has addressed through her philanthropic work aimed at helping women achieve economic security, particularly in retirement.

Women's Equality Day is Thursday, Aug. 26, and marks the passage of the 19th Amendment. This day now honors not only a women's right to vote, but the continued efforts of women to achieve full equality. Throughout this week, Mrs. Heinz Kerry will be focusing on economic issues affecting women in stops in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan. ..

4. She is such a treasure

we already have locked her in our hearts!

She is a liberated woman with a kindness that radiates. Her intelligence and sense of the World and its people will be a gift.

As far as I am concerned, she is smart enough to say what she will.

Mama T is fine with me.

Let the Stepford wife head back to Crawford with the pigs.

5. Welcome to DU.
Are you a Tarheel bitch or a Tarheel bastard? Just kidding. I'm a big fan of Terrisa's. I assume you have done a huge amount of good for humanity the way you seem to look down on her. She is a strong and outspoken person. Perhaps that threatens your masculinity?

8. Freepers are terrrrrified of strong women. Heck, they're terrified of
EVERYTHING! We've never looked like such scaredy cats in the world until dumbya started attacking random countries. Can't wait until that dangerous little chickenhawk jackass gets out of my whitehouse and back to his crawford worm farm where he can put on his cheerleader outfit and booze it up and choke on all the pretzels he wants.
