U.S. Soldier Set to Plead Guilty in Abu Ghraib Case

WASHINGTON (Reuters)

A U.S. soldier said on Monday he planned to plead guilty to some military charges brought against him stemming from the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at the Abu Ghraib jail.

"I have accepted responsibility for my actions at Abu Ghraib prison. I will be pleading guilty to certain charges because I have concluded that what I did was a violation of law," Staff Sgt. Ivan "Chip" Frederick, an Army reservist in a military police unit, said in a statement.

Frederick's statement, provided by his family, did not make clear to which charges he intended to plead guilty. ..

3. Good. Now I want them to prosecute the

officials that let them know that this was okay to do, and publicly prosecute the doctors that aided these people. The soldiers involved in this followed orders. I want to know who gave those orders, and I want to know who the doctors were that revived the detainees so that they could continue being tortured. I want there names and faces out in public. I want them disgraced and held to account. Not after the election-NOW. I want to know how this happened, how this country could be involved in such horrendous crimes. (I know that this is not the first time that the US has been involved in such actions. But this time, the whole world is watching. And I want these bastards to pay and pay and pay.) This disgraceful dry drunk piss-poor excuse for a President belongs behind bars, along with all the rest of the bums in this administration, not given another four years to utterly ruin this nation.
