Or at least, it should not be posted in Breaking news.

First off, its the lazy man's link.

Second, 90% of the time, you can find a better original link.

Third, The other 10% of the time the story ends up being damaging, propogandist lies. And these instances are the ones that hurt our cause. Not only are you helping "THEM" diseminate these lies, effectively distracting from realer issues but you are creating unnecessary hysteria and wasting everyone's valuable time with garbage that will be old news in about ten minutes, time that could be better spent doing other things. Am I right?

Shit, you may as well be linking to the Rebulican Party homepage.

Drudge compiles sources, link to the source. The post uses ap news.
Any verified source should be free game.

7. But how many times do you see a headline that says "developing"
and its totally outlandish... and then it never develops? Plenty.
Still, the damage was done just by posting the headlines.

4. I suggest the Drudge link go through some proxy server instead
Maybe make DU programming so that if you link to Drudge, you get an error before submitting...

While many may think Drudge and the NYP are crap (they are), people read this stuff and talk about it. They are actual news sources to many people, and perception often equals reality.

We should know what the hell's going on there. Burying our heads in the sand is a GOP tactic, but we should face everything head on.
