Kerry, in N.Y., Accuses GOP of 'Smear'
NEW YORK -- Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry accused the Republicans of "fear and smear" negative tactics Monday and said they would offer only empty slogans rather than real plans to help most Americans in their national convention here next week.

"They have obviously decided that some people will believe anything, no matter how fictional or how far-fetched, if they just repeat it often enough. That's how they have run their administration, that's how they're running their campaign, and that's how they will run their convention," Kerry said.
...
"Next week at Madison Square Garden, the Republican convention will focus on slogans, excuses and attack politics," Kerry said. "And mark my words, they'll bend over backward with last minute proposals and last minute promises to make up for all they haven't done and to pretend they're not who they are."

6. See--there is a theme in the counterattack to the SBV and tying it to Bush
And to McCain--its the fact that the Bush administration feels justified to say anything it wants.

7. and that's where Fox (News???) cut away fom speech
Although they are the only station that even showed this snippet.
Fox immediately went to Mark Rasciot (sp) 'in the studio' to spin and lie while Kerry giving his address could be seen on the monitors in the background.

None of the speech was shown on CNN, but Wolf Blitzer had the nerve to reference a line from it to throw stones at Kerry during the back and forth between members of each campaign.

It's amazing that they don't put up the facade anymore to hide the blatant bias.

11. About time!
All this shit about if one of John Kerrys purple hearts wounds was deep enough or bloody enough...if you have issue with this...smear the policies of the military in awarding these medels..if the issue is that the military gives and gave out purple hearts incorrectly...take it up with them...dont they realize that they are saying to every vet from every war..that YOUR purple hearts are a joke to us? We dont think you deserve them.
