Andre and Chris Heinz to Help Turn Out Youth Vote in the Hawkeye State
US Newswire

With less than a week before the Republican National Convention kicks off in New York, John Kerry will send his stepsons, Chris and Andre Heinz to the key battleground state of Iowa. They will spend Wednesday meeting with young professionals and registering voters in the Hawkeye state.

Chris will meet with Iowa State University Democrats on Wednesday morning to discuss John Kerry's economic and education plans and encourage students to vote early. A graduate of Harvard Business School, Heinz spent his twenties working for a private equity firm. He joined the campaign fulltime in February 2003, and spent last fall visiting with Iowa college students as part of the campaign "dorm storm" in early battleground states.

The Heinz brothers will tag off in the afternoon, when Andre hits Iowa City for a voter an event in Democratic heavy Johnson County. Andre has spent the last decade helping to preserve the environment through his work with organizations like Campus Green Vote and The Natural Step. He will spend the next few months of the campaign speaking about the environment and visiting with young voters across the country on behalf of John Kerry. ..

4. My daughter is one of those Iowa State Dems in Ames.
True, there are lots of conservatives in Ames.

But more Dems are coming out of the woodwork in Ames all the time.

I just talked to her. She can't go Wednesday morning because she has a class, and is afraid the teacher is a repuke, who would penalize her for cutting.

She did meet Chris Heinz and John Kerry during the primary. She has a shirt John Kerry autographed for her!
