Russia to Train Iraqi Civilian Personnel (Putin in Sochi today)

Russian President Vladimir Putin says despite his opposition last year to the U.S. led war in Iraq, Russia is ready to provide training for Iraqi civilian personnel.

At a meeting Tuesday in Sochi with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Mr. Putin said Russia is ready to release funds for training programs for teachers, medical personnel, and rescue workers.

Russia has refused to send peacekeepers to Iraq, and instead has offered to provide economic assistance and personnel training to contribute to Iraq's reconstruction.

1. They can use all medical personnel and rescue workers they can get!
So the Russians will train Iraqi's to cope with what the U.S Marines are doing to them.

Well, it's a more a effective way to win hearts and minds.
