Helmet cams will eye GOP confab

During the Republican National Convention, hundreds of cameras will be eyeing city streets as officials monitor people's movements from a handheld computer the size of a palm pilot.

For the convention, the Federal Protective Service, part of the Department of Homeland Security, has brought to New York 200 patrol officers from around the country, many of them equipped with little surveillance cameras in their helmets. As they move their head, the camera is recording whatever they see and sending the image to a control room.

and sending it back because it didn't work correctly? Or they weren't happy with the results.

Well, know. A whole new arena for arrests...suspects wanted for various reasons due to the nice little scanners!!!

3. I hope AT LEAST ONE talking head is cognizant enough to point out

the differences in the two conventions, and how ONE PARTY just happens to know how many people HATE them, that they're ready to bring out WMD's to protect themselves.

Americans DESERVE to hear about the differences. And since bush won't even BE THERE until he gives his acceptance speech, it can't be spun that they're doing this ALL WEEK to protect the pResident... so don't even go there! It's because they KNOW how much hate and resentment the republicans have sown in this country.

If republicans didn't have these funny little black boxes they've sold everyone to count the votes, they'd be OUTTA HERE!!!
