Newsweek confirms Swift Boat Scumbags LIED about Kerry's Rassman rescue

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5831541/site/newsweek /

Aug. 26 - A previously undisclosed Navy record obtained by NEWSWEEK supports John Kerry’s claim that he was under fire when he rescued a U.S. Green Beret who had pitched overboard from Kerry’s 50-foot Swift Boat during a short but intense engagement in Vietnam's Mekong Delta in March 1969.

2. Well, isn't this just the Coolest thing...

It was a contention of mine that all this swift boat stuff would make Kerry even more enduring to the American Public..Because of all the investigation and People coming forward so we could get to know him better..I hope so.

come forward and backs Kerry. It's here somewhere on DU, but I don't have the link handy. None of this matters, of course, since the slimeboaters are running a new ad today featuring the one crew member of Kerry's boat who hates his guts.

7. Bizarre conclusion
'None of this matters, of course, since the slimeboaters are running a new ad '

All they have to do is run a new ad, and everyone will forget that they have no credibility? :eyes: OK

9. Swift Boat file in Editorials has:
Robert Lambert:

<snip>

Three Navy men won Bronze Stars for their actions that day: Kerry,
Thurlow, and radarman first class Robert Eugene Lambert, a petty
officer in the boat captained by Thurlow. The citation for Lambert's
Bronze Star--previously undisclosed but obtained today under the
Freedom of Information Act from the National Personnel Records
Center in St. Louis--repeats the description of the incident included
in the citation for Thurlow's Bronze Star: "all units came under small
arms and automatic weapons fire from the river banks." Lambert's
citation also notes that Lambert--who assumed command of PCF-51
after Thurlow went to assist another Swift boat damaged by a mine--
"directed accurate suppressing fire at the enemy." The citation praises
Lambert's "coolness, professionalism and courage under fire."
<snip>

And Lambert finally spoke out on Wed. 25 Aug, explicitly mentioning
the incoming fire:

and:

<snip>

"I thought we were under fire, I believed we were under fire," Lambert
said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press.

"Thurlow was far too distracted with rescue efforts to even realize he was
under fire. He was concentrating on trying to save lives."

5. lying sack of excrement....
He outed himself when he claimed it was all part of a Kerry master plan. Now he has been exposed. May he live for the rest of his days in shame.

11. So where is O'Neill's apology to Kerry and Rassman?
The next step should be for Cleland and other vets to demand an apology from O'Neill.
