NEW YORK (AP) - What would a visit to New York be without a little therapy?

The Republican National Convention will offer stress counseling to any delegate freaked out by terror warnings, protesters, or perhaps just trying to catch a cab across town.

St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, which counseled New Yorkers who fled the World Trade Center, will have experts standing by at Madison Square Garden to treat psychological scarring as well as cuts and scrapes.

Anyone feeling rattled can find a little quiet space there before jumping back into the hurly-burly of the convention floor, said Dr. Spencer Eth, the centers' medical director of behavioral health.

"Many of the people at the convention are coming from far away and probably haven't been exposed to this level of security. We expect that even if there isn't an incident from a protester or a terrorist, people are going to be more anxious as a result of being aware of the danger," Eth said.

42. I just rode around the Garden/Penn station

on my bicycle this afternoon , I saw a few of the freaks that look like they could use some counseling .Its mind boggling how much security there is . Huge concrete barriers and loads of nervous looking security people who did not look like NYPD , You can just tell they aren't NYPD they are a different shade of white than even the white NYPD people . They are that ultra white that gallery owners only dream about painting the walls before an opening . I didnt get close enough to them but I imagine they smell like Glade air freshener or some other nasty type of potpourri scent . I just kept saying !BOO! real loud when I pasted one of them . What was the most sickening to me was the young volunteers wearing the RNC badges carrying beverages and snacks past the check points for the slime . You really need to see all that security for it to sink in just how bad so many people must want to hurt these slime buckets . I doubt there will be any camera shots on the evening news of all the security, they will probably cut to a boy scout helping a old lady cross 7th Ave .
