Oil Pipeline Burns East of Iraqi Capital
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP)


A domestic oil pipeline east of the Iraqi capital was ablaze Saturday amid a wave of attacks against oil infrastructure in this volatile country, witnesses said.

Associated Press Television News footage showed plumes of smoke and flames rising from the pipeline in al-Nahrawan, an arid desert region 20 miles east of Baghdad. ..

Separately, a series of blazes that erupted after an attack on a cluster of about 20 oil pipelines near Berjasiya, 20 miles southwest of the southern city of Basra have been extinguished, Samir Jassim, an official from the South Oil Co. said Saturday. ,,

The southern pipelines export 90 percent of Iraq's oil. ..

3. It is hard to believe they ever get any oil out of Iraq
Stealing oil is a lot tougher than it first looks. If nothing else, the Iraq fiasco has taught us that.

4. Somebody on DU offered the chimp and banana in a bottle
