Israel Denies Spying on Ally America
JERUSALEM (Reuters)

Israel denied Saturday spying on its main ally, the United States, responding to suspicions a Pentagon analyst passed secret papers to the Jewish state about one of its most bitter enemies, Iran.

U.S. government sources said Friday the FBI was investigating an analyst connected to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's office on suspicion he gave classified documents to Israel via the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the powerful pro-Israel lobby in Washington.

The sources declined to identify the suspect and said no one had been arrested and no charges brought. An official in Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's office denied the allegations.

"Israel has no connection with the matter," the source said. "The United States is Israel's greatest ally and Israel is not engaged in intelligence activity in the United States and denies all the reports." ..

Israeli Spy in Pentagon Linked to AIPAC (so thorough it's frightening)

Need to lock those spys up quickly BEFORE they depart for Israel.

2. Truth is
We spy on them, they spy on us. We spy on GB, canada, the EU nations and they do the same.

The only difference is that here there is an allegation. It will be interesting how this plays out.

4. It also denied any role
In terrorist attacks it carried out on Western/American targets in Egypt.

Later, government records were released showing that the leadership knew the facts and was lying in a premeditated manner.

Also note that the Israeli government's official response to the Sabra/Shatila "events" was a statement denying any knowledge of anything to do with it, entitled "BLOOD LIBEL".

Again, it knew it was lying, and abandoned this position when the facts began to surface.

11. I think this Israeli spy ring goes deep into DOD and the White House
I also believe that it is the White House that leak the name of a DOD analyst in order to scuttle the investigation and distract our attention from the real big fish.

Shall we mention the morphing of US-Israel Middle East policy thanks to groups such as AIPAC and the avarice of our politicians for campaign contributions?

12. Nah, that would make us anti-semites
;)

To be honest with you, I don't quite know how to approach this. On the one hand, its no surprise at all, on the other hand, it strays too close to the 'jews run the world' conspiracies for my comfort. But these bastards need to be brought down before they get a chance to do something really apocalyptic, like invade Iran or North Korea. We just need to make sure the pressure is kept up and this is not alloed to be swept under the rug...

15. Its a privately owned media?
seriously, how can anyone expect objectivity from the media when this media is owned by people who finance the politicians they are reporting on?

17. Is AIPAC going to be treated a "terrorist organization" being funded by
backers in the US? Shouldn't they be?

I was surprised at the neo-con connection to Israel. Hard times are coming.

21. That is an inappropriate response.
How would you feel if some people here would propagate the nuking of America? I too totally disagree with the politics of Israel, but that doesn't mean I think it should be destroyed. Thoughtless and vindictive.
