Howard fury over White House ban
You know things are bad for the British Conservative party when this happens.

http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/politics/story.jsp?story=556333

Michael Howard last night accused George Bush of seeking to protect Tony Blair in an extraordinary row sparked by news that the Tory leader has been banned from the White House.

Mr Howard hit back after it emerged that his calls for Mr Blair to stand down over the Iraq war have enraged the US President. The simmering feud was laid bare yesterday as it emerged that Karl Rove, Mr Bush's most powerful official, told the Tory leader that he "could forget about meeting the President".

Mr Howard last night launched an unprecedented attack on Mr Bush. "If some people in the White House, in their desire to protect Mr Blair, think I am too tough on Mr Blair or too critical of him, they are entitled to their opinion. But I shall continue to do my job as I see fit," he said.

Senior Conservatives last night admitted that relations between the leader and Mr Bush broke down in February after Mr Howard called for the Prime Minister's resignation in a Commons debate. In a furious message to Mr Howard's office Mr Rove said: "You can forget about meeting the President full stop. Don't bother coming, you are not meeting him."

5. Sounds like a telegram
IIRC 'full stop' signifies a period.

6. 'Full stop' is what the British always call a 'period'
there may have been a 'translation' for the British readers, although most would know the Americans say 'period'.

15. Except I don't like the Tories! That is Margaret Thatcher's party.
It's telling that the Bushistas are in a snit over lack of support from Margaret Thatcher's party. MT and Ronald Reagan were best friends.

This is more evidence of the rift between BushCo and the Reaganites, which is very interesting, because supposedly W was a fan of Reagan's policies (insofar as he understood them).

It's a clear sign that BushCo has virtually zero friends abroad anymore. There's always Libya, of course.

8. Well, the US loses another LONG-time ally when Blair is remove/resigns
from office and the Tories take back over.

Is there any country in the world that is still friendly and supportive?

And, if so, are they nuts?

16. I doubt it
The tories are the UK equivalent of the GOP. Except they can't win elections over here. Here's the thread on them in the UK forum for your reference.

18. I see the big thinkers over there use pseudonyms for their activities also
Instead of http://www.conservatives.com/ shouldn't they be taking on the title of the true core or their beliefs with something like http://www.reactionary.com

Near as I can tell nobody in world claims that mantle. So with it they might not be original ideology, but at least they would be true and unique in title at the same time.

Of course if them thar weeds get overgrown the name also might need to get the name changed to something like NeoCons

True descriptions of what some would want you to believe and where they are really at is what I getting on to. Hiding behind good ideas that someone else made into a name is what most frauds do.

23. That is a E-mail box, is it not? but in any case
FIRST-TIME BUYER'S GUIDE (Continued)

What if the domain name I want is already taken?

Once a name is registered, no one else can register that domain name as long as the current registrant maintains their paid registration. However, you still have several options:

* Register the domain name with a different extension. NameSecure offers all the most popular extensions, including ".com," ".net," ".org," '.biz," and ".info".
* Back-order the domain name. With domain name back-ordering, an automated service will attempt to secure the domain name's registration for you the moment it becomes available.
* Contact the registrant directly and offer to buy the domain name registration. To view contact information for any registered domain name, look the name up using the search box above and then click the "WHOIS the Registrant" link in the search results.

But really it was only sarcasm, but I am glad people are questioning something (or everything)

10. Blair must be so happy to have hitched to a star like Bush
What better proof could Hoffman want that Blair is Bush's personal servant? How embarassing to appear to have the WH get involved in GB politics in such a personal and petty way--to aid you on something you wish you could laugh off, and which is premised on the theme that you are a dupe for the WH.

14. I find it telling that Rove was the messenger
I mean, sure, it's his job to set the Shrub's agenda. However, I think State is much better suited to handle foreign leaders, even those in the opposition.

I'm afraid he knows his time is short and he is determined to take America down with him. With luck, the sleazy little bastard will slip on a banana peel and get laid up until the election is over.

The "full stop" gives it away. The Tories are a bunch of lying right-wingers.
