"Undercover motorcycle cops attack cyclists in the bike bloc at 6th ave and west 41st. Appx 40 arrests have been made. Cyclists are reconvening at Union Sq. south."

1. What the hell can you arrest bikers for?

Biking on public roads?

If there's a bike traffic jam and you can't get thru an intersection, do you then get busted? Here's a whole bunch of Humbug arrests that will get tossed if they ever get to court.

Intimidation, pure and simple.

I sure as hell hope they'll arrest every drunk Repub delegate.

Favourite tactic of the Critical Mass" rides is to put so many bikes on the street that the cage jockeys can't go "Zoom! Zoom! Zoom!"

Then the creeps get on their cellies, the cops come, and they start busting riders for "Obstructing Traffic" "Where's your bell?" and other bullshit stuff.

I think they WANT to get busted. Clogs up the system, dontcha know...
