Bush campaign: County prosecutor resigns campaign post (Ohio)
WCHS-TV Eyewitness News

The county prosecutor who admitted having a long-term extramarital affair with a female lawyer who worked for him has stepped down as a regional campaign chairman for President Bush.

Bush campaign spokesman Kevin Madden says Hamilton County Prosecutor Michael Allen resigned his position as chairman for the campaign in southwest Ohio on Friday. No replacement has been named. ..

Shortly afterward, assistant prosecutor Rebecca Collins filed a lawsuit in US District Court that says Allen used his influence as her boss to coerce her into a sexual relationship from 1999 through early this year. ..

And that doesn't just apply in 2004. They've always thought they were untouchable. SW Ohio DUers will remember Donald 'Buz' Lukens, who got in trouble for something similar about fifteen years ago. He was a (Republican) congressman who got in trouble when it was discovered he was having sexual relations with a 16-year-old woman. The problem wasn't that he was having sex with a 16-year-old -- 16 is the age of consent in Ohio -- but that he didn't get caught until then, and had been fooling around with her since she was about 13. Don't even know if he was married at the time ... he was in his late fifties.
