Claim U.S. Administration Knew Of Equatorial Guinea Plot

Big News Network.com Monday 30th August, 2004

A man who admits he took part in a coup attempt in oil-rich Equatorial Guinea claims high-up members of the Bush administration were aware of the plot.

Nick du Toit, a South African arms dealer, one of nineteen men allegedly involved in a coup to topple the African nation's president, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has made the claim to prosecutors.

Du Toit says 'some people high in the U.S. administration knew what was afoot'. He also said he was told Spain would recognise a new government under an 'exiled leader' to be installed.

President Mbasogo himself is on the record as saying he believes foreign countries and firms were behind the plot.

Of course WE knew this was going to be the case....glad to see things unraveling so fast. Can't wait to see the FBI swoop in to arrest Cheney in his pajamas. (like was done to Mark Thatcher).
