Lawyers Prepared to Protect Voters' Rights During Fla. Primary

Voting rights attorneys from the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights will assist Florida voters during tomorrow's primary election as part of the Election Protection Coalition. This nonpartisan coalition will have poll monitors and legal volunteers in approximately 60 precincts in five Florida counties on Tuesday.

Trained volunteer attorneys will answer a toll-free hotline (866-OUR-VOTE) to assist voters with questions and resolve potential problems. Legal volunteers will be on the ground to monitor selected polling places and place telephone calls to the appropriate election official if necessary. ..
