Some guardsmen returning home because of limit on active duty(2yr)

At least 13 members of the Idaho National Guard currently training in Texas have invoked a two-year limit on their active duty service and will not be deployed to Iraq this fall.

Army officials said five more are still deciding whether to waive that limitation.

Col. Barry Nightingale, chief of staff of the 5th Army Tactical Command at Fort Bliss, said the personnel were among 232 of the more than 4,000 members of the 116th Brigade Combat Team to come under the limitation.

Nightingale said 13 other Idaho guardsmen have signed volunteer statements waiving the active-duty limitation as have 136 from Montana, Oregon, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, which have contributed half the overall force now preparing for deployment to Iraq.

I have lived in Idaho for several years. Most white supremacists in Idaho live in Northern Idaho (panhandle). Although, there has been a crackdown of those types of groups and there is more visibility of that area and what is going on in the panhandle. Because of that, white supremacist groups have realized it is no longer a safe haven for their despicable practices. I have not heard anything regarding the "white racist fascist police officers." Apparently Idaho is #3 in the nation for the most white supremacist groups per capita, behind Florida and California.

PS I read, "This Thing of Darkness," which is a "sociology of the enemy," and was written by one of my professors (James Aho) at Idaho State University. A very good read regarding the white supremacist groups in Idaho and how the government uses fear as a way of controlling Americans. I highly recommend!

PPS I have met some ignorant people, who you could classify as "racist." However, I have never encountered nor heard of any racist groups in southeastern Idaho, which is where I have lived.

Bush has abused the guard and reservists horribly. As a result more and more reservists and guard members will take advantage of this provision which will increase the pressure to re institute the draft.
