RNC - MD Governor Bob Ehrlich Blasts Democrats for Being "Racist"
NEW YORK (AP)

Governor Ehrlich told Maryland delegates at the Republican National Convention today that the Democratic Party is ``racist'' in its appeal to black voters.

He says Democratic conventions' message to blacks is that if they don't think a certain way, they are traitors to their race. Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele, who is black, stood at Ehrlich's side as he spoke at a morning caucus of the Maryland delegation.

Steele's scheduled to speak tomorrow at the convention as part of the GOP attempt to reach out to black voters. Congressman Albert Wynn, a black Democrat from Prince George's County, tells The Sun that the governor's comments were ``a gross distortion of the Democratic message.''

He says the Republican Party has resisted affirmative action and opposed many of the social programs that support blacks.

2. But offering Alan Keyes (R-Jonestown) as an Senate candidate . . .
. . . is somehow NOT pandering on racial grounds, particularly when he "calls out" Barack Obama for not being black enough? Yeah, whatever, Governor Turdsniffer.

5. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad
Typical Republican MO: Take those things you are guilty of as a party and project them onto Democrats. The media will lend you a hand to help in successfully fulfilling your objective.
