Some Delegates Find Unfriendly Welcome
NEW YORK (AP)

Some Ohioans were told to turn their GOP T-shirts inside out and hide convention credentials, to be more low- key about their party passion.

Other delegates said anti- Bush protesters made obscene gestures and yelled profanities at them. In neighborhoods and boroughs far from Madison Square Garden (search), New York residents taped anti-Republican signs to their apartment windows. ..

"I have no problems with those people telling me their ideas and thoughts. I'll be listening," said Dr. Richard Mulder, a delegate from Ivanhoe, Minn. "I have free speech, too. I can give them my ideas, too. That's what this country is all about." ..

4. What 'ideas'? If these any of people had an original thought ...
... it'd die of loneliness and isolation in the half-vast desert of their cranium.

3. What the hell is up with this line ?
" "Unlike pre-war Iraq and Afghanistan, people in America are free to peacefully protest and speak their minds," the memo said. "

5. Will they ever ask "why"?
Why do people get so upset these days with anyone associated with the right or the Repub party? Does it occur to any of these numbnuts that the dipwad called "president" is responsible for the high level of acrimony towards them?

6. I would not go to Dr. Richard Mulder
one thing I don't trust is a Dr. that's a Republican. If a Dr. is a Republican it tells me he/she gives not one wit about me and is more worried about $$$$$$$$$ than my well being and a piss poor critical thinker!

Dr. Richard Mulder can talk all he wants I'm also free to X him off my list of Dr.'s I would trust with my health.

12. when Kerry was in Minnesota
there was a young man there with a bush/cheney sign. He said he was studying to be a doctor. I asked him why he was voting for * and he says cuz of taxes. I laughed at him and said at your age you have a lot more to worry about than taxes, like maybe not getting your limbs blown off in Iraq. Then, he said, and I swear to God, that since he will be a doctor he won't have to worry about going to fight, he'll be far away from it. I was absolutely stunned that he felt no shame saying this. Since I was dumbfounded, my husband explained to him that he must be a pretty cheap person to let other people do his fighting for him. So long as he was safe he could care less about what happens to others. And that is why I won't go to a republican doctor anymore.

8. The floggings are only fair for radical right GOP to boast in NYC.
They are lucky only to receive verbal ones.

GOP lied, and thousands died.

10. Note to Delegates:
Keep a low profile while you're in the City. We don't like you and we want you gone. And don't come back.

13. Did y'all see where
many delegates who flew into NYC for the convention saw some rather unpleasant "greetings" on rooftops? Such as "No More Years" and, my personal favorite, "Re-defeat Bush"?

But what did they expect? Like USA Today and other columnists have said, they were really stupid to select NYC for the convention; it's a very blue city in an even blue-er state, and they know better than anyone else in the country just how the GOP has hijacked their grief and used it to their own advantage. Like one 9/11 family member said,
"they're dancing on our loved ones graves."
