The World According to Bush (television program airing in Australia)
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/08/30/1093717911923.html?oneclick=true

Everywhere we look, it's high season on dirty pool in politics. Nicely or nastily timed to coincide with the Republican Party Convention in New York, this two-parter, a clear Bush-basher, drew so much viewer comment when it was first shown that SBS is now re-screening it in one evening.

The program is at pains to expose dirty laundry as it analyses various aspects of the Bush political dynasty. It kicks off with George Dubya's grandfather, Prescott Bush, who invested money for the Nazis during World War II, ran a company operating mines in Poland using forced labour from nearby concentration camps, and whose co-operation with the Third Reich led to his companies being taken over by the US Government.

Conflicts of interest take their turn, with the finger pointed at Vice- President Dick Cheney's wife, who sits on the board of the giant American arms firm Lockheed Martin, which receives government contracts. It also looks at former president George Bush snr's close ties to the Carlyle Group, a private equity house which handles nearly $22 billion in investments, the majority of which are linked to the defence sector. Bush snr, the program observes, has therefore been profiting from an American military contractor during a period when his son, the President, is conducting a war.

Close links between Saudi Arabia and the Bush family and administration are discussed, the Saudis seen as spending more money in Washington than almost any other government. This leads former CIA analyst Robert Steele to comment: "We have essentially become whores, political whores for the Saudis."

What I wouldn't do with a copy of this program :sigh:

6. I have e-mailed SBS to try and purchase it.
IMO they deserve the money. I have a friend near Perth that is taping it for me but sharing it is risking and unethical.
