Kerry Plans to Respond to Bush Speech
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&ncid=703&e=3&u=/ap/20040831/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_kerry

Hours after George Bush is to accept the Republican Party's nomination for re-election in New York on Thursday night, Democrat John Kerry plans to respond at Ground Zero of the presidential campaign — Ohio.

Kerry is kicking off the general election in the battleground state that George Bush won in the last race, as has every other Republican who's ever been elected president.

Kerry plans a rally in Springfield, Ohio, just before midnight Thursday evening with his running mate John Edwards and their wives. Then the Democratic nominee plans a two-day bus tour to the Ohio cities of Newark, Akron and Steubenville.

Kerry is dispatching his three partners to Midwest battlegrounds that Democrat Al Gore won narrowly in 2000 — Teresa Heinz Kerry to Iowa, John Edwards to Wisconsin and Elizabeth Edwards to Michigan.

7. Good move and...
He better respond to this purple heart band-aid shit! He needs to show his outrage...not for their mocking of himself, but what the mocking says to all Veterans and current soldiers whether they have a purple heart or not. Disgraceful and he should say it...WHY DON'T THEY SUPPORT THE TROOPS?

Wittenburg University used to be pretty cool when I lived near there years ago...I hope he has a great turnout in Springfield!

8. I think it's smart and agressive. Don't let W. get away with anything.
It is now September and campaign season is now open. Kerry had better step up, and I think he will.

13. I can't watch it and am staying in the Lounge a lot
I can at the most watch RNC 30 seconds at a time. Here's hoping Kerry takes the gloves off and FAST!
