Congressional spouses milling around the fancy Madison Avenue Lenox showroom checking out china patterns yesterday afternoon didn’t seem offended by the pure girliness of it all.

They have been banished from the convention floor and relegated to the nosebleed section of Madison Square Garden this year, allegedly due to lack of space. This is a marked change from past conventions, in which spouses always could accompany their husbands onto the floor.

only Valium was the drug of choice in the 50's to enable women to cope with not having a life while today's drug of choice for these Stepford Wives is Prozac, just like the Stepford First Lady. Hard to imagine that I'm the same age or older than some of these women and I can't believe they would even admit to this, but I can tell you that I definitely wouldn't have a thing to do with any of them.
