A thousand fans line up for former President Bill Clinton
METAIRIE, La. (AP)

A heat index of 92 degrees couldn't keep a thousand fans from lining up in a parking lot Wednesday to get former president Bill Clinton to sign his autobiography at a suburban New Orleans bookstore. ..

.. She remembered him as being "funny, charming and smart" in an interview had given back then after playing saxophone on the steps of City Hall in New Orleans.

"For the first time in my very young life, politics was cool. It wasn't something for old people," she said.

Clinton was half an hour late for Wednesday's book-signing. When he arrived he gave big hugs to autograph seekers in wheelchairs or with other handicaps.

2. That really something in Metairie!!!
Metairie is the lily white suburb of New Orleans, territory of people like Robert Livingston and David Duke. It's amazing to hear he's drawing crowds like that down there.

3. My Dad was at Crestwood Missouri Barnes & Nobles
He got up at 4 Am stood in line with fellow Clinton Fans varying ages
it was located in Republic part of St.Louis...as they stood there People drove by and honked and yelled 4 more years... My Dad yelled Screw you and these 80 year old ladies flipped the bird at them

Only a 1000 could get an autograph and he was the lucky one. People camped out all night. He was told one autograph a piece

He got his book signed but Clinton saw he wore a Baseball cap with Hope Arkansas on his head.

Clinton shooked his hand and said "Where did you get that hat?"
My Dad went a town called Hope
Clinton goes "Ya want me to sign that for ya."
My Dad went I sure would
and he found a different pen and signed on the inside of his bill of the cap

My dad said He is a very genuine human being....

just a small Clinton story
