The NYPD unspools plastic netting to corral the unruly quickly, but the tactic also snares entire blocks of peaceful protesters--and bystanders too

NEW YORK -- For all the batons, riot helmets and plastic handcuffs, one of the most effective weapons in the New York police arsenal this week was seemingly the most innocuous: rolls of orange plastic netting.

The NYPD managed to short-circuit ambitious plans to disrupt the Republican National Convention simply by unspooling the webbing to cut off and enclose entire blocks of protesters before they knew what had snagged them.

1. I don't understand ...
What is it about protests that make police officers act their worst? It's not like they (in big cities) don't recieve training for this sort of thing. And I'm sure they're in more aggrevating situations at other points in their careers that they handle perfectly well.

4. I'm amazed..
at how badly US police officers handle these demonstrations.

It doesn't compare to how large demos in other countries are policed.

10. In some other countries
the people still use citizen arrests when the police get out of line.

Here the NWO forces are just emboldened by their success. they smell blood now and it will get worse. The US is definitely the Domino that needs to be felled.

6. This is what a police state looks like
Today's NYTimes had a highly laudatory article about NYPD's policy of "pre-emptive arrests". Translated from Orwellian double-speak into plain English, this means arresting people before they've broken the law.

I hope UFPJ, NION and other organizations file massive class-action lawsuits that cost NY taxpayers a bundle.
