Radioactive device burnt in US chopper crash in Japan: embassy
Politics - AFP

A low-level radioactive device was incinerated when a US military helicopter crashed in a built-up area of Japan last month, the US embassy said, adding there was no risk to humans.

The crash in a university campus in the southern island of Okinawa caused angry reactions in Japan where more than 44,000 US troops are based. ..

Five-hundred microcuries of Strontium-90 were contained in part of the rotor safety device which was apparently "vaporised" in the crash, the embassy said.

1. Oh do not worry.
Strontium 90 is everywhere. It occurs naturally in just about very thing that lives, fruits, veggies, meats and more so in wild meats such as deer, hogs etc.

Subsistence hunters (humans) usually are often times higher than normal in Strontium 90.

Some of this is intended to be sarcastic.
