Campbell considering running for governor
Office will be open in 2006

U.S. Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell is considering a run for governor after he retires from the Senate in January, his spokeswoman said today.

“It’s one of a number of options he’s considering for the future,” press secretary Kate Dando said.

Campbell has hinted at his interest in the governor’s office in the past, but this is a more specific indication of his intentions.
